I see other higher amperage chargers selling for less and if I had a 50amp 240 circuit, I would have bought something else.
I only have a 14-30 (30amp) house plug and until I upgrade my house panel, this is what I have. My car maxes out at 16A but I wanted to have the highest my circuit could support if a visitor plugged in a higher rate car but also not causing the circuit wouldn’t overload. I saw some chargers that could be set via software but I didn’t want to worry about a power outage or software update resetting to factory. This unit maxes out at a safe 24amps no matter what and came with the 14-30 plug.
It has a display for Amps and voltage available, output amps and kWh which is nice to verify. The holder/hook is heavy duty and the case is better than I expected and since this is now mounted on my wall I’m going to use the case for my 110v 10a travel charger and roadside emergency kit.
My only wish is that the plug side cable was longer, it’s only about a foot long, so without an extension, it’s limited for mounting locations.
