Mitsubishi launched its popular plug-in hybrid to provide a true family size SUV but also improving overall fuel ecomony with an all electric plug-in hybrid driving range. Estimates very for the range, but the EPA estimated electric driving range is 24 miles. The original Mitsubishi Outlander came with a 3.7 kWh acceptance rate (how quickly the battery can accept charge) and a 14 kWh battery. If you want to minimize wait time for a full battery and want to quickly top the battery up to maximize all electric driving, we recommend a level 2 charger.
