Make sure the plug type you choose matches the outlet type you have at home. While many outlets look similar, they are definitely not the same. The one called NEMA 5-15 is the regular 120V household outlet that all home appliances use, while other outlet types, such as the 14-50 or 6-50 (The two most popular EV Charging Outlets), get installed specifically for appliances or EV Chargers that require 240V. That said, there are more 240V outlet types that are commonly used, such as the NEMA 14-30, 6-30, 6-20, L14-30, and more.

The BMW 330e model prior to 2022 was so successful that BMW launched an improved version in 2022. This version of BMW's globally popular 3 series is a sleek, luxurious vehicle that was aimed squarely at the executive fleet market. The BMW 330e plug in hybrid could be the best 3 series on the market. The original version comes with a 7.6 kWh battery size. We receive requests for replacement or new BMW 330e EV Chargers. The EV Chargers are light, portable and can be moved if you rent or plan to move house, as well as be used outside of the home where plugs are available e.g RV parks or other residences. Recommendation: If you don't plan to upgrade your vehicle to an all electric vehicle, we recommend a NEMA 5-15 BMW 330e EV Charger which will plug into any regular 3 pin residential plug. Faster charge times are not available due to the 3.6 kWh on-board charger, which limits charging speed. Charge times are reasonable with charging from empty in around 3 hours and from a 50% battery 1.5 hours.
