The Subaru Crosstrek is Subaru’s inaugural model with an on-board battery pack, serving as a precursor to its all-electric Subaru Solterra vehicles. However, the initial Crosstrek model offers a relatively modest electric range due to its 9 kWh on-board lithium-ion battery pack. While this smaller battery pack limits the vehicle’s electric range, it also reduces the need for more expensive and powerful EV chargers.
Our EV chargers are designed to be lightweight, portable, and versatile, making them suitable for relocation if you rent or plan to move, and they can also be used outdoors where compatible plugs are available, such as at RV parks.
Based on the Crosstrek’s specifications and battery size, we recommend a NEMA 5-15 Subaru Crosstrek EV charger. This economical option is compatible with any residential 3-pin plug and offers reasonably fast charging times. Charging from empty takes approximately around 4 hours, and from a 50% battery, it will be fully charged in around 2 hours. This charger provides a practical solution for Crosstrek owners.
