NEMA 14-50 EV Chargers

Level 2 charging for homes, RVs, and travel – compatible with all major EVs.

What Exactly is a NEMA 14-50 Plug?

Your Key to Faster Charging

Think of the NEMA 14-50 as a high-power version of your standard wall outlet. It’s a 240-volt outlet, the same kind used for electric stoves or RVs, designed to deliver significantly more power than a regular plug. This makes it the perfect solution for Level 2 EV charging at home without the need for complex hardwired installations.

Simply put, a NEMA 14-50 outlet transforms your garage, driveway, or RV spot into a powerful charging station, giving you faster charging speeds and  ultimate flexibility with a portable charger.

Why Choose NEMA 14-50?

Fast Charging at Home

Get up to 9.6 kW of power, adding 30-35 miles of range per hour. That’s 5-7 times faster than a standard Level 1 charger.

Plug & Play Installation

No electrician needed to set up the charger itself. If you already have a NEMA 14-50 outlet, just plug in your charger and start using it immediately.

Truly Portable Power

Take your charger with you on road trips, to your vacation home, or RV parks. Level 2 charging is no longer confined to your garage.

Universal Compatibility

Our chargers work with all electric vehicles. Whether you have a Tesla (NACS) or a Ford, Chevy, or Rivian (J1772), we have a compatible model for you.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Question

A NEMA 14-50 charger can deliver up to 40 amps (9.6 kW), which translates to approximately 30-35 miles of range per hour of charging, depending on your vehicle’s efficiency.

Yes! We offer models with the native NACS connector for Tesla. If you already have a J1772 charger, you can use the adapter that came with your Tesla for full compatibility.

Yes, many of our NEMA 14-50 chargers have a weather-resistance rating (like IP66), which makes them safe for use in carports or driveways. Ensure the outlet is also protected for outdoor use.

The difference is mostly speed. Level 1 charging uses a standard 120V plug and adds only 3-5 miles of range per hour. Level 2 charging with a NEMA 14-50 uses 240V and is 5 to 7 times faster.

In most cases, the installation of a new 240V circuit by a certified electrician requires a local permit or license to ensure compliance with electrical safety codes. Consult with your electrician.
