Love it. Works perfectly. The ability to set the charge rate is great. Was able to set the rate below my breakers amperage. 40A breaker. It popped when I tried 40 amp charge. So set it to below that. Now the breaker holds. Very high quality. Very heavy wiring. Came with a storage container and a wall hanger.

I see other higher amperage chargers selling for less and if I had a 50amp 240 circuit, I would have bought something else.
I only have a 14-30 (30amp) house plug and until I upgrade my house panel, this is what I have. My car maxes out at 16A but I wanted to have the highest my circuit could support if a visitor plugged in a higher rate car but also not causing the circuit wouldn’t overload. I saw some chargers that could be set via software but I didn’t want to worry about a power outage or software update resetting to factory. This unit maxes out at a safe 24amps no matter what and came with the 14-30 plug.
It has a display for Amps and voltage available, output amps and kWh which is nice to verify. The holder/hook is heavy duty and the case is better than I expected and since this is now mounted on my wall I’m going to use the case for my 110v 10a travel charger and roadside emergency kit.
My only wish is that the plug side cable was longer, it’s only about a foot long, so without an extension, it’s limited for mounting locations.

Easy installation for charging because the instructions were simple for the hanging device and charging was explained easily. A troubleshooting chart was included as well as a weather hood for external charging. It has an extra long cord compared to others that I purchased or reviewed to purchase and has a delayed start for using reduced at home charging times.

Initial review was e stars but after reading their quick reply, I realized I had overlooked a flat green piece object which is used as the “Cable Protector”. My first charge to a 2020 Subaru Crosstrek only took 2 hours, 6 min at 40amps. The factory cable using 110v takes about 4.5 hours. I definitely recommend this charger.

I installed this on the outside of our cabin. After switching the outlet from an 30amp RV outlet to the required outlet for this charger, installation was easy.
Because of the location of my plug I had to mount the charger upside down. This is no fault of the charger.
It charges at the exact amperage as advertised. Very happy with the purchase.

Ordered this, it arrived fast. Had an issue with the product and reached out to customer service for EV-Chargers. I received a response within an hour… couldn’t believe how fast they were to respond. I had a resolution to the issue within an impressive amount of time. Very happy with these people, and will 100% order from them again.

This is a quality EV charger, and a stylish small footprint EV charger. Lots of nice features and accessories such as delayed charging, adjustable current and the safety of the ground detection. Two simple buttons on the interface for delayed charge and current adjustment. Charging powerful. I have no complaints.

I bought this for our new Bolt EUV at home. The charger is great as it allows you to pick the current rate you want to use, and also allows you to put a timer so it only charges after peak hours if you need it.
The quality of the product is great, and so far, there have been no issues. Highly recommended.

The AEFA EV Charger is exceptionally user-friendly and has all the features you need to make charging your EV a breeze. Setting it up is simple, with clear instructions and a simple control panel.
One standout feature is the adjustable amperage. You can easily change the charging amps via the device, perfect for optimizing charging speed and managing your home’s power load. The charger itself feels very sturdy and well made without being overly bulky. I love that with its 25ft cord length I have the ability to charge my vehicle from either side of my garage.
Overall, the AEFA EV Charger combines ease of use with powerful, convenient features, making it an excellent choice for any EV owner.

Did a lot of research and opted for this one. Well, it’s plug in and charge, the charger starts and the car does the rest. Hanger is very high quality (not plastic but metal, keeping the charger in place) with easy instructions on how to fit and the cable length limits stretching. The hanger and screws (vertically positioned) for easy placement on single stud (we just drilled a few pilot holes then popped in the supplied screws). There is also a neat holster around the top of the hanger that the charging cable loops round on to so that storage is flush to the wall. We bought the high-power version and had it professionally installed. We got lucky since we had a spare slot on the breaker. He put the AEFA 40amp version on the required50Amp breaker. We went down this route since despite spending $56k at the dealership our Genesis only came with a level 1 EV charger (go figure!) so we upgraded to this level 2 EV charger. We are getting fast charging rates with the car charged in about 6.5 hours and we set the car to charge between midnight and 6am (although the product does have a delayed charging function, we prefer to use our car’s app to set charging). Here is what we liked:-
- Current power was well matched to our Genesis
- About 8x faster than the level 1 supplied charger
- No app needed, super simple
- Quick to install
- Intuitive user interface
- Clear green oval trace light so you can see it is charging
- Nice accessories

Charger has a real high quality metal hanger which is ultra sturdy so that the charger sits in well into the cradle and doesn’t move around. Large charge green oval display spins round when charging which is kinda cool. Settings.
Such as delaved charge or powering up to 40 amps need to be set before plugging into the car.

The product was delivered on time and was packaged really good and secured. Upon looking at the item it was evident that it was made from good quality material. The set up was easy and straightforward just set the Amps and you are set to plug in your EV car for charging. The cord was more than enough for my needs and storage is a breeze. For the price I paid it was worth it.

I have been using this EV charger for my Genesis GV70 for about a month now and have had great results thus far. I needed an EV charger that could plug into my Dryer outlet that is also in the Garage. Without any set-up I was able to immediately charge my car fully from 10-90% in about 6 hours. Highly recommend if you already have the supported outlets near your car. Highly Recommend!

Our other EV charger had a red fault light displayed when charging and our electrician recommended changing the EV charger. The AEFA EV charger has no fault lights when we charge, which is re-assuring. Our electrician told us that many EV chargers are not configured for the U.S. market so the ground fault light is permanently displayed (so you don’t know if the is an actual ground fault issue – scary!), but AEFA does not have this problem.
The AEFA charger is sturdy and feels well built. The green charging light is a nice feature since our other EV charger did not have that so we didn’t know for sure if it was charging without having to climb around the car and all the cables to double check. The charging light is super clear from distance so nice and convenient. No issues so far and is charging our MX-30 fast. Came with all the instructions and the videos were super helpful. Accessories are a nice add on too.

Are all EV chargers the same?
Many people ask this question and the answer is yes, all EV chargers are the same. There are two different types of charger that can be used to charge an electric vehicle. They are called level 1 and level 2 chargers. Level one chargers require a regular home outlet for power while level 2 chargers use 400-480 volts which would need to come from special equipment installed at your house or business. This means you are able to charge your car much faster using a level 2 chargers.
At first, all electric vehicles were only designed to use level one chargers but now most manufacturers offer an option for installing a level two charger at home or work.
Is a Level 2 charger worth it?
What does Level 2 EV charging mean? Level 2 chargers are also known as 240-volt fast chargers, and they can charge an electric car in about 30 minutes. They offer a substantial time-saving advantage over Level 1 or 120-volt “level one” chargers which take around 4 hours to fully recharge your vehicle’s battery. So the question is: Is it worth spending the extra money on a Level 2 charger if you have a Level 1 outlet at home?
There are a few things to consider. Level one chargers come with the purchase of many electric vehicles, so you should double-check with your manufacturer about what type of charger they provide and whether or not this is included in the price. If it’s not, there will be an additional cost for installation as well. The good news? We stock a whole range of level 2 ev chargers.
What are the different EV charging plugs?
There are three different types of EV charging plugs that you can use to charge your electric vehicle. What is the difference between them? The first type of plug, called a Type 1, is used by most cars and trucks made in North America. This is also known as an SAE J1772 connector. It looks like this:
The second type of plug, known as a Type 2 or Mennekes connector, is used by many Asian brands such as Nissan Leaf and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.
Lastly there’s the Tesla Supercharger which allows for high-speed charging – delivering up to 120 kW from a single car charger with no reduction in battery performance or capacity over time.
Do Plug-In hybrids use the same EV Chargers as electric cars?
Yes, all US electric and plug-in hybrid cars use a Type 1 connector. This is sometimes referred to as an SAE J1772. The Type 1 (SAE JA772) plugs support Level 1 and Level 2 charging standards. Using our EV chargers you will be able to charge all Electric cars and Plug Hybrids including Ford, Tesla, Nissan and Mercedes.
Do I have to use the manufacturer’s portable EV charger?
No. Cars accept any EV chargers irrespective of source. Many car manufacturers in fact recommend the use of 3rd party or the purchase of more powerful level 2 EV chargers
