EV Chargers Compatible with Kia Niro Pure Electric
Choose your plug type
The Kia Niro Plug EV (pure electric version) was launched in 2022 and marked a significant upgrade to its earlier Kia Niro model. It is more styled as a crossover SUV and has a AMCI Certified 292 mile all electric range. We get many requests for new chargers for their Kia Niro EV chargers or as a second backup to keep in the car. All our chargers are compatible (J1722 U.S. standard connector) with the Kia Niro EV. Our EV Chargers are light, portable and can be moved if you rent or plan to move house, as well as be used outside of the home where plugs are available e.g RV parks.
Recommendation: If you want to maximize EV charging speed, avoid the lines at commercial charging stations and ensure a full overnight charge when electricity is cheaper (in some states super off peak charging is around 40% cheaper than peak times), we recommend our NEMA 14-50 40 amp 9.6 kWh KIA Niro EV Charger. Given the larger battery size and bigger acceptance rate (how fast the battery can accept charge), this is the best option. It will provide the fastest charge available and will also futureproof you. Charge times are the fast possible. From an empty battery (happens rarely in practice), the car will be fully charged in around 8.5 hours. From a 50% battery (happens much more frequently), the batter will be fully charged in 4 1/4 hours.
