Hyundai Ioniq (Plug-in Hybrid)

The Hyundai plug in hybrid was the forerunner to the Hyundai Ioniq Electric and they Hyundai Ioniq 5. The standard battery size is an 8.9kW lithium ion battery uses Level 2 charging with a 3.3 kWh on board charger (how fast you cah charges). We get many requests for new Hyundai Ioniq owners or replacement Hyundai Ioniq EV Chargers. Our EV Chargers are light, portable and can be moved if you rent or plan to move house, as well as be used outside of the home where plugs are available e.g RV parks.

Recommendation: given the small plug in hybrid size battery, we recommend regular level 1 EV charging and recommend a NEMA 5-15 Hyundai Ioniq plug-in hybrid EV Charger. It is the most cost effective and avoid costly EV plug upgrades since it plugs into any regular 3 pin residential socket. From a 50% battery (in practice when most EV owners charge-up), the car will fully charge in around 1 3/4 hours and ~3/.5 hours from an empty battery (in practice does not happen)
