The 16kW/h lithium-ion battery pack can be charged with a Level 1 or Level 2 Type 1 J1772 EV charger at a maximum acceptance rate of 6.6 kW/h with a 240-volt outlet. To charge the vehicle, plug the AC plug of the charging set into the grounded wall receptacle. The charger cord, typically a Level 1 120-volt AC charging cord set, is used to connect the vehicle to the power source. The charge active indicator lights will cycle from left to right when the charging cord is inserted correctly, and once the vehicle is fully charged, the lights in the charge indicator will show all five bars. The Chrysler Pacifica PHEV can be charged with a Type 1 J1772 charger connector from the convenience of your own home, at work, or at a public charge point. To start charging, the charger cord needs to be plugged into the vehicle’s power outlet, ensuring the vehicle is turned off and in park. Wherever you charge, the Chrysler Pacifica maximum alternating current (AC) charge rate is limited to 6.6kW/h. Therefore, with a 40amp/9.6kW EV charger, the car will only take the charge it is rated for at 6.6kW/h.
