Make sure the plug type you choose matches the outlet type you have at home. While many outlets look similar, they are definitely not the same. The one called NEMA 5-15 is the regular 120V household outlet that all home appliances use, while other outlet types, such as the 14-50 or 6-50 (The two most popular EV Charging Outlets), get installed specifically for appliances or EV Chargers that require 240V. That said, there are more 240V outlet types that are commonly used, such as the NEMA 14-30, 6-30, 6-20, L14-30, and more.

At EV-Chargers, we supply a range of Audi A7 EV chargers. Audi has recently extended its Audi A7 electric range to include the Audi A7 55 TFSI e Quattro and Audi A7 Sportback. Depending on your A7 model, you may decide a more powerful Audi A7 EV charger such as level 2 NEMA 14-50 40 amp 9.6 kWh EV Charger or for a plug-in hybrid version of the A7, such as the A7 Sportback a standard level 1 residential plug type with a NEMA 5-15 EV Charger. Recommendation: If you just got your Audi A7 i or are replacing a broken charger, we would recommend a level 1 NEMA 5-15 Audi A7 EV Charger. This is the most cost effective EV charger given the relatively small battery size for a plug-in and the acceptance rate (how fast the battery can accept charge). The charge times are reasonable with a vehicle charge in ~ 5-6 hours from empty and ~2-3 hours from a 50% depleted battery
